Cute, but it’s another Travis the Ape experience any day now at that zoo…

  2. Ray says:

First thought that came to mind as I looked at these pictures was Siegfried and Roy.

  3. abe says:

Anyone who has had a pet cat knows that they will occasionally flip out and run around clawing at things/people. Imagine that but a hundred times bigger. In my experience being around big carnivores can be great, but just bear in mind that they can snuff a human without half trying, and they can do it faster than you can react.

Actually Rob, you should read “Life of Pi” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_of_Pi) as it certainly changed the way I look at Zoos.

Good Zoos are actually quite humane and good for animals. To you it may seem like prison because you are human and have more vast needs that survival. In Zoos animals can relax and not think about survival. Most animals do not need more patch of land than what they have in Zoos, since that is all they would stick to in the wild anyway, unless seasons and lack of food force them to move. Read it and get educated before putting down zoos.

This Zoo is harmless, obviously something you would not want to do with animals that have grew up in wild.

sheesh I hate you poeple that come on here preaching crap about animal rights they have the right to be our bitch. We out evolved them people.

  9. Natalia says:

    That’s adorable, I wish I could go!
I don’t think it’s animal cruelty, not anymore than keeping pets is anyway… They’re happy! There’s nothing wrong in being raised among humans.

  10. asdf says:

crazy. there are some hotties at that zoo

  11. PENIS BLOW JOB says:

damn…those animals could tear your fuckin face off in three seconds and theres all these people neelin down smilin…

  12. Joel says:

Wow. This is like a reverse lotto. Sure, it may be a one in a million chance, but somebody’s got to win it! Only, this time, “winning it” means you die or leave maimed.

There’s no such thing as a “domesticated” lion, tiger, or bear. There are only less wild ones. Hear about the chimp that just ate someone’s face off in the US? That was a trained chimp, raised from birth by the traniner, but just decided to flip out with no provocation and attacked the trainer’s friend. That’s only about 80 lbs of raging “less wild” animal. At that zoo, they are closer to 800 lbs.

Go ahead stupid people, take your chances. Most likely it won’t happen to you, but it’s going to happen to someone. Are you that someone?

  13. Hungry Hungry Hippo says:

If one of those cats ate my mom, I would definitely eat it back.

  14. Brian says:

A great way to cut food costs in the aggregate.

  15. guest says:

Oh how magnificent i must purchase a ticket to that destination as soon as possible.
As nothing turns me on more than stroking and rubbing a big hairy pussy in front of a group of people.
Besides when a stripper such as myself gets fat and old i have to try another angle to get the revenue in, such as playing to a caged/captive audience.

  16. Mark says:

These are wild animals. They see the people around them as objects. The moment will come when a person looks like like food to these predators.
An adult, or a child, or both will get eaten, then it will be a tragedy.

Just an accident waiting to happen.
Can you hear that ticking clock?

  17. Lara says:

I think that it is a great experience to be able to see the animals up close and personal. I had a similar experience at a small national park in South Africa, with both a black leopard cub and a full-sized cheetah. What worried me a little bit about the cheetah was the person who was stroking it before me. Everything was going fine until the cheetah sensed that she was slightly nervous and turned its head sharply as though it was about to attack. Thank God it wasn’t the intention, it was just a bit irritated and nervous around the people. But the woman would have been a goner had the cheetah attacked her. She wouldn’t have seen it coming it happened so fast. So as much as I think that it is a great idea and a great opportunity for people to get in touch with nature, you should be aware that there are dangers. Especially for children who might see it as their kitty as home and treat it with the same disrespect (images of kids pulling hair and biting animals comes to mind)

  18. Vivek says:

I think all these animals are a piece of wax…made by talented
    people. it`s jus nt true.

  19. Wesley says:

    Love all those animals.

What pisses me off if someone gets hurt being around those animals it will be the animals that will suffer in the long run.

Though having a pet as cool as those would be awesome!

  20. Ashley K says:

You people who think that there will be an attack, look closely at the pictures. They’re exposing young creatures to many people a day, from an early age. They’ve probably done this with all of their animals, leaving these cats to think that it is only natural. I’m sure the cats get several long breaks from human interaction in their day. Also, notice that there are only a few people in the cages at a time. This suggests that there’s a special area for animal interactions, and that the flow of visitors is limited for the comfort of the animals.

This is a good zoo, and they obviously know what they’re doing.

  21. Olstar18 says:

Was that the real maddox creator of the best page in the universe. I hope it wasn’t some prick stealin his name.

  22. ikki says:

Poor, poor animals. The animals are meant to be in the wild NOT metal cages. They’re being constantly prodded at by tons of loud humans taking thousands of pictures. zoo = animal prison

  23. Jaco says:

Felines tend to be friendly when they are fed. As long as a lion has it’s tummy stuffed, it does not really care about you… If you start looking like lunch, then you have a problem.

I am from South Africa and I have seen places where you can interact with the lions (apart from lunch). I personally like a sturdy fence between us.

  24. anthony says:

The zoo actually seems like fun and given the time and money I’d probably visit. I just hope that when a lion or tiger does what lions and tigers naturally do…not “go crazy” as people like to say, that they don’t kill the animal for it’s natural reaction to an unnatural situation.

Do you like it when people you don’t know/are barely acquainted with come into your office or cubicle and annoy the piss outta you for no good reason in particular?

  25. Pro-vamsi says:

Cool I’ve never seen a zoo like this one!!
May be I should plan to goto this zoo at some point in my life!!

  26. wabby says:

Man i thought Argentina was a crap hole but they got some hotties down there. Oh, and a very nice zoo too

  27. Turja says:

    Dangerous zoo!

  28. 'really?' is a dumbass says:

I’m with Juliana on this one. wtf does it mean that “these animals are wild”? EVERY ANIMAL WAS WILD AT SOME POINT! just because most people dont choose to raise lions as pets because they need space and have large appetites doesnt mean they cant be trained by a profesional. and of course you dont see any damn trainers in the picture. its because YOUR posing for the picture. it doesnt look nearly as cool with a trainer there holding down the lion. the trainer is prolly the one taking the photo! your just mad cuz you didnt get your picuture with a lion. this place rocks!

  29. yo says:

don’t walk on thier tales! and the first ones does not seem to happy!

  30. yo says:

the are just like big cats when they are well fed, or you are the dinner.

  31. sarah says:

Most people agree that even Animals in Captivity can be very dangerous. It could be the smell of a particular soap or deodorant that will set the animal off. Or even the smell of food on a persons hands or breath. This is a very dangerous and unacceptable thing to be doing. You can take an animal out of the wild, but you can not take the wild out of the animal.

  32. Nora says:

I don’t care how ‘safe’ this is. I’m sure these animals are incredibly used to dealing with humans, but it doesn’t stop the fact that this is wrong. These are the most powerful predators in the world that we’ve caged and degraded to posing for photos with stupid humans. It’s just wrong.

  33. fae says:

As much as I would love to go to this zoo and have such an up close and personal experience with these beauties, this zoo is just a load of accidents waiting to happen. I actually cringed when I saw the little girl by the bear. It’s just a matter of time before someone gets mauled and the poor creature is put down for being what it was born to be. Then you have to wonder what will happen to the zoo and the other animals following that.

  34. tortuga says:

to those who think this is inhumane:
these animals are clearly born and raised in captivity with frequent human interaction starting at a very young age. they are probably treated like royalty, eating a much healthier and plentiful diet than their counterparts in the wild. there may be an accident now and again, but these animals are clearly very docile. they seem to have the same demeanor as any domestic animal. it is inhumane to drag an animal out of the wild and force it into a cage, but that is not the case here.

  35. stroker 349 says:

kill them and force feed vegetarians

  36. 420 says:

    thats sickkkkk

  37. betsy says:

It’s really amazing that this is happening and these pictures are great, but I feel badly for any wild beast in captivity.

  38. Michael says:

Disgraceful, these are wild animals and they should be free.

  39. Phil says:

This is the castration of nature. These are fearsome predators, not Timmy the Tabby. While it can be cute to have your picture taken with a tiger, it teaches a dangerous lesson that nature is harmless, cute and cuddly when it is the exact opposite.

  41. the worm says:

if these people get hurt, the animals get killed…sheesh.

  42. pepper says:

    could be scary!

  43. seraphale says:

    I see stupid people!
I have had cats all of my life, certainly enough to know that you shouldn’t get too friendly with strange ones, especially ones that are big enough to kill you.
They don’t need much reason to start acting in an “irrational” manner. We’re still meat to lions and tigers.

  44. Crackie says:

Wow I really want to go there now. I went to Oswald’s Bear Ranch in Michigan’s upper peninsula and they let you pet bear cubs there, but this place has lions!

  45. wanker says:

    first

  46. Snowcrab says:

It’s one thing for adults to take their own chances in this kind of environment. And they will probably be ok most of the time if the animals have been habituated. If they act predictably the animals will probably respond predictably.

But to risk children, that is just not right, children are just not predictable, they make sudden movements and shriek in high voices. I wouldn’t trust an animal not to be startled if a child did something unexpected.

  47. another says:

Maddox, try educating yourself with real literature like journals instead of fictional books before you give advice about what makes a great zoo. These are wild animals with wild, innate behaviours. Whether they be raised in captivity or not, they are not domestic animals and they will retain natural instincts regardless of how habituated they are or appear to be.

The fact these animals pose a real genuine threat to the general public (who, if ignorant enough to actually enjoy a place such as this deserve to get mauled anyway) aside, this “zoo” is a degrading and abhorrent example of how uneducated people can make money out of creatures that do not belong in a captive environment.

Zoos are a necessary evil to EDUCATE the public about different species to help conserve them…NOT to use them as props for cheap photo opportunities.

  48. TomT says:

On a trip to Argentina a part of our group went to this Zoo. The animals are heavily sedated to the point where they are barely conscious and propped up. Notice the caption mentioning the “controversial zoo.” The sedation is what is controversial. The more sensitive of the group found it sad, others semed to enjoy it.

  49. Jenny W. says:

OMG,All my life I have dreamed of a place like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that in my “next life” I will be a lion,so if I don’t get to go here before my time on earth is done,it will all have been for nothing!!!!!!!! I just look for the day when we ALL can be around BEAUTIFUL,ANIMALS like this with no chains or wires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
