Underwater River in Mexico

If you are a professional diver you should visit Cenote Angelita Mexico.

These amazing pictures were taken by Anatoly Beloshchin in the cave Cenote Angelita, Mexico. Here’s his description: “We are 30 meters deep, fresh water, then 60 meters deep – salty water and under me I see a river, island and fallen leaves… Actually, the river, which you can see, is a layer of hydrogen sulphide.”
It must be an unforgettable feeling once you’re there and see it with your own eyes.

I think one of the pictures shows the guy entering the hydrogen sulphide river??? H2S can affect you just on skin contact, you do not want to swim around in it (it can enter a variety of other ways as well and is comparable to hydrogen cyanide in its ability to affect nervous system function). It’s classified MSDS as level 4, aka Severe Hazard, on both health and flammability.

I dont know what you were thinking but next time don’t do that, please. The pictures are great but wading in H2S is a dumbass move.

so there are 3 layers.. fresh water, salt water and H2S ‘water’ contained in the same bowl…. logically there will be no normal animal living in the H2S ‘water’ but who knows how great is the Creator… maybe should do extensive research that may benefits human kind… without ruining the nature…
